JCB International Credit Card Co, the Americas subsidiary of Japan-based international payment brand JCB , announced its J/Smart application identifier has been certified for EMV chip card acceptance in the US by Global Payments.

Combining J/Smart with other card brand application identifiers has minimal processor resource impact during certification, while providing a substantially broader EMV card acceptance footprint for U.S. merchants.
