AirPlus International has introduced AirPlus Intelligence, a brand-new tool that enables customers to analyse and manage their spend.

AirPlus launch AirPlus Intelligence

Its basic module, the AirPlus Intelligence Hub, is now available as an additional free service to all customers of AirPlus Corporate Cards and AirPlus Virtual Cards worldwide.

The release of the Hub marks the first major milestone for the AirPlus Intelligence platform, which will be complemented with additional data modules in the future.

“In times of virtual communication and cost constraints, corporates feel the need to justify business travel and prove its return on investment more and more,” says Michael Heilmann, Executive Director Marketing at AirPlus.

“Highly qualitative data is an important basis for this. At AirPlus, it has always been our mission to deliver relevant data that will enable companies to make intelligent decisions, as proven by our industry-leading ratings.

With AirPlus Intelligence, we’re now providing them with the next generation of intelligence tools to easily analyse and manage their everyday spend.”

The AirPlus Intelligence Hub: how it works

The Hub delivers valuable information on the most relevant spend metrics with a simple dashboard design.

Customers get a complete overview of their spend (dating back two years) which can be filtered, both by customizable time ranges and by a list of categories.

These include payment product, service type, and suppliers, as well as descriptive billing information (e.g. cost center, project number, department responsible, and more).

This allows users to monitor and adjust their spend, review the progress made over time, identify their top suppliers, and monitor the key performance indicators of specific projects or cost centres.

Another feature is a quick filtering function: By typing in a keyword, the entire dashboard will be filtered within seconds. Clients also have the option to download their aggregated data.

The Hub supports six languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Dutch.

The development of the AirPlus Intelligence Hub has been accompanied by an extensive customer pilot program. 3

8 pilot customers actively tested the Hub and provided their feedback through interactive group sessions and a comprehensive online feedback survey.

This program not only provided AirPlus with valuable insights into customers’ reporting requirements, but also highlighted key areas for improvement.

AirPlus Intelligence: next steps

Starting in 2024, more analytics modules will be added to the Hub to provide deeper insight into spend data according to different customer needs.

The first data module, “Data+”, will facilitate customizable data downloads and scheduled report generation.

The next module, “Advanced Analytics”, will provide a global view and reporting using customizable dashboards.

In addition, customers will be able to analyse multiple agreements in multiple currencies with automatic consolidation.

Further modules will be added after these, e.g. to provide deeper information on business trips and emissions data.

Also in 2024, AirPlus Intelligence will become available to users of AirPlus Company Account.
