Poste Italiane has signed an agreement with Payleven, a provider of mobile cardpayleven-payments payments, which makes the payleven mobile card payment product available for all clients of Banco Posta in Italy.

The platform works without fixed fees, minimum spend or contract duration. Chip & PIN supports small and medium sized businesses, including tradesmen, taxi drivers, and retailers, who are in the need of a fast way to accept card payments. Payleven’s will become available to Banco Posta’s customers as of October.

All they need to do is go to their nearest post office or Banco Posta and sign up with payleven. After only a few days, they will receive their Chip & PIN device ready for use and will instantly be able to accept debit as well as credit cards. Users are required to have an existing BancoPosta account or will need to open a new account to benefit from the offer.

The payleven Chip & Pin device transforms smartphones or tablets into a portable card terminal. It is connected via Bluetooth to youriPhone, iPad or other Android devices and allows users to accept payments. Furthermore, it can be used everywhere since it connects to the Wi-Fi network.
